My experience in San Diego was really awesome and instructive. In the campus I could breathe the Californian liberty, “open mindedness” and enthusiasm , both from the students staying there and from the people working there. The staff is really helpful and tries to make you feel confortable. In the campus there is a pool, a soccer field, a beach volley field, a canteen, an activity desk, a gym, a yoga/dance room, a cinema room, a videogame room, a kitchen, different common areas and all the students’ rooms. 300m away from the campus there are 2 supermarkets (Vons and Target) and a lot of different outlets, shops, restaurants and fast food. There are also some rent a car places that help the students to explore California (the best is called “Dirt Cheap”). The Campus is in a great area from which you can easily reach Downtown, Old Town, Ocean Beach, Mission Beach and all the main areas of San Diego, but you can also easily reach the highway towards Los Angeles and Las Vegas and Santa Barbara. Studying in EF San Diego was a unique experience: I made lots of new friends, explored the world and learnt a lot with a smile.

I ended up leaving this school... I stayed at [name removed by administrator] house who is not only totally obsessed with her students (she controls you and goes through your stuff (fingerprints)) but also cooks poorly amd treats you like a criminal (she thought I would steal her stuff)... Moreover the house was far away from the center and the only way was to get a car or to walk 1 hour through a forest with rattle snakes... So I wanted to change the accomodation which was not possible...

This is a picture of the campus, but you just use part of it. I mean there are some different students there too, American students. The place is located well, but if you want to do something you must take the bus or rent a car. I've lived in a host family. My housemates and host family were amazing, but i had friends who had many problems with their host families. A lot of the host families are Vietnamese and they prefer to speak in their own language! But I really know too most of my friends enjoyed their families like me! I think nothing is perfect ;) I recommend EF San Diego. One day I would like to come back again!
