Description supplied by school:

EF’s English courses in Dublin are located in the heart of the city, in a building facing the open green space of Fitzwilliam Square. From here you’ll be a short walk from the manicured gardens of St. Stephen’s Green, the River Liffey, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the campus of Trinity College.

Online courses rather than face-to-face: I took the intensive course program and, surprise: most of the courses added for the intensive program are video calls. The teacher is most often in a room at school, but the students are scattered elsewhere in search of a place. The “library” to welcome students for online courses only has 6 places! So we find somewhere to sit in the lounge or in empty rooms! Online courses are boring, no energy on the part of teachers and students. Why do online courses when rooms are available? Staff "activities"... low investment: First of all, you should know that the "activities" STAFF of the Dublin school employs students, former or not, of the school. When you do an activity with them that consists of visiting Dublin or a site in Ireland, these pseudo-guides read their files for two minutes then stop, getting bored of their own reading... it's painful to pay for an activity given the paucity of explanation and implication. Satisfaction questionnaire ... required! : Every week, I received a satisfaction questionnaire by email that included my identity; (shouldn't it be anonymous?!) Once, EF came to my class to give me a paper questionnaire. A few days later, I received this email: “We are missing a document. Please, come to the reception as soon as it possible to complete it". Roommate: I was in a lovely host family. After the departure of the roommate I spent 2 weeks with, my host mother restarted EF several times for three weeks in order to receive a new roommate. , but it was only empty promises. And yet there is no shortage of students who want a host family! Other comrades were surprised to have a roommate of the same nationality, while the organization specifies in their marketing that they will place us in a family with a person who speaks another language to promote the practice of English. 4000 Euros, the price of disillusion: You'll pay at least 4000€ for 6 weeks in intensive courses. When we see all the flaws of EF in Dublin, I'm appalled, it's a joke!

One star, I wouldn't put more. We put all our savings into this and they abandon us, they tell us lies and we sleep in dirty places, no host family available or just one night and then we have to move. EF France doesn't help us, they won't even answer the phone, it's shameful

with this organization in respect to all the conditions that they promised me. None of them have been delivered. I paid with my leftover savings to do this training and I am hugely disappointed. For accommodation I was supposed to be on a campus but actually I am in a hotel 55 mins by bus from the school (and I have to pay for it); I pointed out before my arrival that I have a chronic illness and that I need a kitchen to cook. I cannot eat what others prepare for me due to dietary restrictions (no sugar and no salt). But since my arrival I have had no choice but to eat at the hotel restaurant or have food delivered (again at an additional cost). This can have repercussions on my health. I started classes about 3 weeks ago and for 1 week and 3 days I was in a mixed and multi-level class not at all suitable for me because I was supposed to be in A1 A2. I asked to shorten my stay by a month because I am absolutely not at all satisfied. But reimbursement is a big problem. EF Paris cannot tell me how much they will reimburse me and I also requested a reimbursement for the excess expenses that were not planned and the inconvenience that I have had since my arrival. But that too I have no reply at all from them. Despite constant reminders since my arrival, nothing has really changed.

Don’t go here they are so strict you can’t do parties or even gatherings with people, if you’re under 18 you’ll have to be in your room by 11 or you’ll be fined. The school is old and nothing like what you see online. Nothing works like it should and you pay way too much for what you get. Cold showers bad education and the food is horrible. Please don’t go here it sucks. And also there are groups of French, Italian and Spanish if you don’t know any of these languages you’re time will even more suck because they’re all talking In Their own language.

I paid 15000€ for 8 month (6 months because there was the coronavirus and I have not been reimbursed. I thought there would have been students from all countries but the most were french and spoke in french... My family was really dirty and not kind. I had to pay for the canteen and the bus in addition to the 15,000 euros. And in the end I still haven't received my diploma. So it was really bad expérience for me.

I have been in Dublin for two weeks, and it's been a great experience! My host family was polite, nice and friendly, and they made me feel at home even though I live 2000 kilometers from Dublin! The school is in a beautiful building in a perfect position: near to the bus-stops, to the city centre and to many parks you can walk in with your new friends. The teacher are awesome: nice, friendly, sensitive and helpful. Moreover, my english really improved thanks to the lessons and to the long time I had to spend without speaking my home-language. And, last but not least, I made many many friends from all over the world, friends I'm still keeping in contact with. We had perfect time together, going around in Dublin and in the towns near to the city and attending to the activities the EF staff proposes. I totally recommend EF!

Incapable of managing a problem with the host family that doesn't talk and doesn't eat with my 16-year-old daughter. We've been waiting to change families for a month, unacceptable. For 13,000 €, you'd do better to keep your child in France and hire an English teacher.

I chose a two-week course for adults at the EF school in Dublin. Really bad experience. I had no education for my short period, I was thrown into a class without logic. Overcrowded classrooms. Lessons often improvised. Adults who choose a short English course abroad have different needs from teens. Do not choose this school.
