I was pleasantly surprised with my experience with inlingua. My cousin's daughter attended an IELTS course at inlingua and because the location was very good we decided to go with inlingua although I noticed some of the reviews were not very good. All in all, we are happy as my cousin's daughter improved her IELTS score and was accepted to the uni.

2 Bad Experiences: #inlinguafail Attended 10 Malay classes. From end of last class in Dec till now, no definitive date for when next module is starting is starting. Attrition from the first course was high. Stupidly recommended school to friend. He paid in Feb for a course starting in Apr. When he physically turned up for class, was ONLY told then that it was postponed. Subsequently, he was then told that the class is cancelled due to lack of numbers. Asked for refund and after 2 weeks it is still processing. Appalling that after asking for payment and being paid, class is postponed and then cancelled at a whim. Absolutely unprofessional. If you are looking to commit long-term to mastering a language thru a lang. school (particularly for Malay), please look elsewhere.

Similar to another review posted here. Administrative management of this school is very bad. I received an email stating that my module was confirmed and starting on 16 April 16 to which I replied that I would make payment on the first day of class and inlingua did not object to that. When I turned up for class on 16 April I told that the class was not confirmed. They never bothered to inform me that the class was cancelled. Simply pushing the blame to me that I did not make payment and that I could easily have made payment via ibanking. But looking at reviews here, it seems like students will likely have a hard time getting refunds for classes that are cancelled. No apology was given. And I never received any certificates for the past 3 modules that I took with them. I had to request for it and I'm waiting to see if these certificates would materialise. Please do something about your admin.

I totally agree with all the comments that have been made here on the admin staff. You are just a number in their books; not only unhelpful, but they can be patronising too. It negates whatever good work that's being delivered by the teachers. When my 10 session module ended, I was informed of the next session for which I confirmed I would attend. When it was later cancelled as a 4 pax class couldn't be formed, I made the effort to suggest we start with a smaller 3 pax class and I was even prepared to pay more. Unfortunately it couldn't start as not everyone was prepared to pay more. After more than a month, I was informed abruptly on a Fri (today) that the class will start next Tuesday. I requested a delay of 1 week to the start as I will be overseas next week (the start date has been delayed by so many weeks already anyway). The staff must be rushing to punch out and go party on a Friday, for he not only did not consider and make the effort to check, he basically told me my only choice was to accommodate them (!), when they didn't even have the basic decency to check if I can make it before deciding on the start date. #inlinguafail

From the end of the last German class in June until now, no update on the next module. That's already a gap of 4 months with no continuity of lessons. So whilst the students from the last module all have registered interest to continue, the excuse the school gives is that they have not met the minimum number of 4 students. On top of that, they removed the module from the class schedule online, which doesn't help in getting more students. The school even had the cheek to say that this is the first time they have students who want to advance to such a high level. Quite frankly, students cannot advance if the classes are not offered. So now the students are stuck midway in Elementary level and cannot progress to Intermediate. If you're looking to seriously learn a language with the purpose of progressing, look elsewhere.
