I have learned English at ELS for five months. In order to avoid interaction with Japanese students, I was looking for a school with few or no Japanese students. When compared to other language schools in Australia, ELS has few Japanese students. In my class, I was the only Japanese person out of 14 students. There was homework after every class, but it is so much fun because the content of the homework and of the class match up very well. I graduated from this language school, and went on to learn hospitality management at TAFE. After my graduation from TAFE, I could have gone on to a standard Australian university. Here is my point: ELS is good because it has partnered with a lot of universities like TAFE. Honestly, TAFE, I think, is an even better environment than ELS for those who are aiming to be fluent in English. But in order to enroll in TAFE, I had to first have two months of academic English courses at ELS which includes presentations and report submission, IELTS intensive training, pretty hard homework etc... I didn't have the English level to enroll at TAFE directly. However, it is thanks to ELS that I could enter TAFE, and I think that was a great opportunity. By all means, choose a life in Sydney to study English at ELS.
